What kid doesn't have a 13-floor treehouse in his or her head, featuring a man-eating shark tank, a lemonade fountain, a giant catapult, and plenty more? Griffiths (the writer) and Denton (the drawer) channel the endlessly inventive power of kid silliness to construct a goofily absurd tale, involving a catnary, a giant banana, and a book deadline, that sits somewhere between Captain Underpants (minus the snark) and the Wimpy Kid (minus the angst).
