Sam and Dave Dig a Hole

Yup, that's pretty much what Sam and Dave do: dig and dig (with breaks for chocolate milk and animal cookies), hoping to find something spectacular. They do indeed, but the real fun of the book comes from how excruciatingly close they get to not finding treasure after treasure, near-misses your young readers will love to spot the first time around and then anticipate every other time you read it. Which we guess will be a lot. (Age 4 to 8)
