Jessixa Bagley is one of our favorite local children's authors, and her picture books often have a sweetly melancholic tone, which is a perfect match for this story of a Paris musician (a dog, like every other Parisian in her story) and his accordion, which, I imagine, has that same sweetly melancholic tone. It's a story with some sadness but a lot of love, which will fill your own heart the way a sweet and sad song does. (Ages 2 to 6)
