Du Iz Tak?
by Carson Ellis
Kids' Book of the Week , November 7, 2016
"Du is tak?" What does that mean? "Ma nazoot." Huh?! What are these bugs saying about the green, growing thing before them? After a few readings of what looks like nonsense at first, I think you and your young readers will have an idea. Carson Ellis's first picture book, Home, is one of our favorites: inclusive, imaginative, and refreshingly odd. Her second makes another wild, imaginative leap, with a story that might seem strange at first but soon becomes a wonderful puzzle to work out and speculate on. (Ages 2 to 5)
