Big Food Big Love: Down-Home Southern Cooking Full of Heart from Seattle's Wandering Goose
by Heather L. Earnhardt
Book Review , October 31, 2016
While Lark seems to have grown out of our soggy soil, Capitol Hill's little Wandering Goose is more like a successful transplant, a pink flamingo standing out proudly in the Northwest drizzle. Earnhardt has lived here nearly as long as Sundstrom (she worked at Phinneywood's own late, lamented Carmelita for a dozen years), but she cooks (with local ingredients, of course) from her roots in the South: biscuits, gravy, grits (grits!), greens, and sweet tea. Why have I never been there?!?
