Those Tipsy Nissleys we served at the store last Friday were a delicious tribute to the mixological brilliance of my friend Brad, whose James Beard-winning first book Bitters became an instant necessity for every bartender's shelf (and a surprise hit: I like to say his last two initials stand for "Tenth Printing"). His second book, Amaro, is as full of fascination and expertise as the first, as he celebrates a once-obscure corner of the liquor cabinet that has, like Brad himself, moved to the center of the cocktail revolution. —Tom
